Friedrich Kunz

Friedrich Kunz is a Senior Advisor for market design at TenneT joining in 2017. His focus is on the electricity market design supporting an integrated and decarbonized energy system. Improving regulatory and market mechanisms to better align investment and operational decisions with network needs is at the core of his work and projects. Until 2017, Friedrich Kunz worked as a research associate and project manager at the German institute for economic research (DIW Berlin) and published his academic work in various established journals. He holds a PhD in energy economics and a university degree in industrial engineering from Technical University Dresden.
